Psychology of Man

I found one of those "Sacred" books.
This book was special.
The cover was not the 'usual' women's books. The kind that greets you with shiny sprinkled flowers and screaming pink petals.

The cover was a Man.

He stood there with his sassy smile, plain and simple, notably, exhibiting signs that he was the author.
He dared me intuitively to open this condensed book, pages slightly below my usual feminine reams.
The opening statement was carefully crafted and i had a sudden cognitive urge to quickly flip through the book....
My oh my! the minute i got tagged onto the intro, I knew i was going to read this entire book!
Let's say it took me the whole day, to flip, gnaw, criticize, but yes i did it...read and got disturbed!
So here is a replay..my overall poetic sentiments, a cryptic description of Men... a dramatic remix of the book in my own colloquial language, possibly to re-align the harsh statements put across so that we all get the point, ladies!!
This was the same experience i had growing up with 'soldiers' in the house.
Men apparently, are Simple Creatures. Say what! yes you heard me....okay he might be complicated but not super-jig-saw/puzzle complicated!
Men are target and visual creatures, beasts bred on hard liquor and meat.
History tells us one thing, they hunt, profess, care and provide...!
They are wired to compete, conquer and to want it all.
They are tuned to watch, hunt and score a game, and 'safaris' are their prime target.
"Safaris/emoticons"? Yes, Ladies be quick here.... this is the intimate oddness of our description.
Needless to say, some species prey, lust and squander their livelihood and consequently loose responsibility for their lives.
These are the ones you ignore...the kind that live life without a plan, like a school of hyena boys parading the outskirts of the Serengeti waiting for another mans' chain of food.
Don't get it twisted, these breed, need their own time, special place ( i say they need a coma instead) to explore and mature, to be inducted into a new age group of Men.
There is another breed of beasts out there, the rare type. The Bold without italics.
They are called the Kings of the Jungle.
They are those that fight to have you in their colony. Those who trek the harsh terrain to have your overwhelming needs met. I am talking about those with respect, ambitions and a descent plan with you in it, those are the real keepers!
Ladies, let's applaud them for a very severe second, It's a struggle being 'Man'.
All those swelling expectations coupled with a trail of surrounded needy 'womanity' .
But the author goes on to say that if you create these provisions and set your standards , the greatness in him is designed to be duty bound.
He will rise the sun and set it for you! Yes, well maybe if he had the body of Conan the barbarian he can move mountains for you also!!
A prowl of power is set within him, to provide, to conquer and to multiply the earth!
A midst all odds, You the 'emoticons' have the power.
You are the ones that dictate who to rare; the boys or the Kings of men.
You are the goddesses of all emotions and fury, you trap their masculinity into a weakness by evoking visual flares that slaves them for all eternity.
You have the Power!
If you 'emoticons' exhibit respect, care and define your standards stamped with selfless, maternal instincts, he will swear to Love, protect and care.
Well, a few species have resonated to this beat, an anthem they sing, a melody of trust that sinks too deep on the waving skirts.
We 'emoticons' are entitled to cause fury when devotion and care never appears, when trust is just but a dream, when words are just words. This is our song of freedom a common rhythm of lack of brave, hardworking men.
You have the power to select a breed made for your match, species vary, character is unique but genes are coded as Man.
Understanding the psychology of men is the re-birth of goddesses.
You should always  strive to find honorable, respectful, healthy, caring responsible and honest genes.
Ladies, its time to relax... Parade your species out, do the sacred guard of honor, figure him out.. and let the roar of the Jungle come get you!

Time to Share

Africa! Africa!
The sound of that name always puts a cheer to my face, a sound memory of the famous stand-up comedy by Jamie Foxx
He cracks the audience up by sensationally describing Africa!
He seemed dazzled by Africa's wildlife, scenery and the beautiful, cultured, sophisticated,  Women of this continent!
This however, isn't about the laughing voices, this  is a small piece i have written dedicating it to the people of Africa, challenging our leaders and hoping for a better day when the beautiful sun rises.  I live in Africa, a huge country as the world sees it and yet we are so diverse and unique in so many ways.
This is a place where time is limitless, a horizon that is full of hopes and dreams.
We as Africans compose the tic-toc of time, the never ending struggles of being available. The presence of humanity seated, standing and dictating the cents that mistakably does not fill the hollow pockets.
I am always perturbed by the green glow in their eyes, characterized by never ending whispers, sipping from doubting Thomas'.
Don't you see the careless thrust of greed prowling itself into our world, our Sacred continent? Haven't you noticed the way they watch us with dismay, as we endlessly fight a loosing battle of tribal affiliations. Africa, don't you realize you are stronger together, you are what makes Africa! You should be your brothers keeper.
Our systems are a true reflection of imposing quantity and lifeless lives. Our continuous thirst, a measure of unending satisfaction. These are the same old systems that gather moss and sell our Afri-humanity to the World, tossing it and taking us back to the days of slavery! This is a challenge to African Leaders, we need strategic leaders, those who will defend Africa to prosperity. We do not need Greedy leaders who will eat away our abundance!
It’s time we the people of this land woke ourselves up from a dictatorial lifestyle, it’s time we ventured into our passionate creativity...a life that is not about ourselves but a life that gives back to our people. We need to be extra proud of our culture, and very patriotic to our roots.
We need to care about our people! Those whose lives are at a standstill, those who live life as if there is no tomorrow, I’m talking about the poor, the blind, the street children and our tendencies to forget the young abandoned children and our aging fathers and mothers.
The greatest life, is one that gives willingly and builds itself by giving and sharing.
It's not about how much you can give; it’s never going to be about quantity, but it will always be about quality: a measure of your willingness to participate.
Your thought and actionable presence is what counts.
It's time we as Africans stepped a little further away from our comfort zone, its time we  shared a simple truth to the world and go against our normalcy.
We were created, born and bred with finesse. A culture of sharing in each others world, an innate sense of empowering each other. We have sharpened our tools for decades, but its time we gather and hunt and bring joy back home.  We have the strength Africans! Our bodies built to last, our minds creative in every sense and the steady rhythm of music wired in us. Africa has decided ! we are giving back to our own. The roots of our feet will spread this undying gospel and try to reawaken the sleeping giants...
It's time we shared in our peoples lives.

Talent will give you the extra Mile

So you think you can dance, Idols, America Has got talent, America’s best dance crew and the list goes on and on... the search for the very best of the best- We have seen the educated and the the gifted go head to head to win the heart of the judges and the fans. Recently, I had the privilege of being behind the scenes as two designers, Abe and Bruno both presented their impressive portfolios at an interview to see who will be the Go Creations next creative intern.
When I first took a peek at Mr Abe’s portfolio , I was simply blown away; you could tell he put much thought into the work. The illustrations, were carefully sketched, pen and paper fused angelically as if to mimic the actual object, the drawing was of a young Kenyan boy, with soft skin and a roughness that only the trained human eye could catch, there was so much emotion into the sketched picture an intuition of a kind, that vividly expressed his sensation towards the boy, the image was spectacular, it pulled an eagerness in my mind as I kept staring at the young boy who was in deep thought.
Wow, that was fantastic! I kept unwinding every page of many still epic drawings, both in color and in black and white, each with a profound texture to it and a great story behind it.
I was so caught up by the imagery, fascinated by the level of attention and brisk of work that this designer had envisioned. I was so eager to know where this kind of skill was tamed, until I scrolled all the way down to his education and realized he only had the basic education, I call it the basic education guideline level. I was looking for a world class education that everyone sorts after, could this be true? I could have instantly thought that his work was not legitimate information, a copy and paste well structured and laid out.

On the other hand, Mr.Bruno's’ work was in fact quite impressive, his work was formal, and structured, I could however pin-point a few errors and omissions, it lacked an emotional oversight, his work blended in and he seemed to have knowledge on where to place what, where and how...impressive I must say, but I could not find myself actualizing to his work, there was a disconnect, it looked like an illustration drawn and not a replica of a real image. His CV on the other hand was quite impressive, he had finished his degree program and had other high level certificates from top performing schools.
My first reaction was to quickly settle them down and ask our designers to give them a practical test. Each one of them was asked to design various concepts and submit their work on time.
It was, like waiting for an egg to hatch, quizzically instructing your mind to be patient, looking forward to a new brood of life. This would be a hard one to choose, so I thought, with the kind of education Mr.B has, I was deemed to conclude that he might take it, but wait! What about Mr. A? Did he have the necessary skills to make it in this ever changing design world? Could his mind blowing designs salvage him from this nest of skilled, competitive workforce? Will he be able to crawl out of this test and finally put our minds to rest.....?

Talent is innate while education is acquired through different forms of learning environment we come into contact with.
For most designers, artists and performers, talent plays a huge role in shaping the quality of work a person brings to the table.
It’s the in-born trait, a sort of acquired skills that very few educated people can match up to.

Do designs add value to the brand of an organization?

Is there perhaps a relationship between a Brand and the design element in it? Do designs play any role in the overall perception of your product or service?
It is said that a brand is only as good as its fundamental practicality.

A great design is created by, developing a significant shape that conforms to the reality of the brand i.e , its value, integrity and its underlying meaning and functionality.
Great designs institute Positive perceptions by potential and current customers. The brand perception will ultimately be affected by the distinct image built, not just illogical images, but designs which are meaningful and those that people will identify with. Any design built to enhance a brand has to be practical, momentous, and of the same quality it represents.

Design enables a Brand to adopt a customized approach to their products through Individuality by creating a wide variety of processes, structuring them to meet an individual’s customers own satisfaction. Any brand wants to lunge into unknown territories; these territories seek to exist by challenging and create more diverse products. Designs will create prestige and define luxury products for this particular segment.

Design offers product usability since it offers a platform for ease of use; this is the core originality for brand traffic, since it will drive huge traffic to your services based on popularity and efficiency. In the beginning a big Brand called the Coca Cola Company decided to advertise its products. Their strategic plan was to create a memorable logo that offers the stickiness factor. They had to think about packaging their unique content. The world did not know who they were; only a few sublime chit and chatter about the cola tasty drink. We were anxious to see it. Marketing as we call it involved this, they produced it, and they were now ready to show case it to the world.

They had no idea that this would influence the world, change the Brand as we know it now, and yet, they had to launch it to the world. They needed designs that will create an impact, a sense of enthusiasm, bring the innate reality to its consumers. In order to do this they had to translate the coca cola drink to a visual element, something that would offer a distinct blend of their product. They decided to create a distinctive bottle shape to assure people they were actually getting a real Coca-Cola.

Communicating your brand Ideas to the design team is crucial; this can make or break a Brand. Your potential customers will need to know your product based on good communication tools you employ. In the end establishing relationships that matter and making those high- end sales is fundamental, and design does this best.

It does not matter whether your business is great or it is a ruling giant, a great brand with a raw deprived erroneous visual representation is set to fall. In the end great brands are founded on great designs!

The face

The essence of design is to bring out the visual appearance of any product or service. A great design elevates a product, polishes its facade and ultimately makes it more visible. A great design is indeed the face of the product or service. Presentation is the appeal that goes against all norms, it instructs the mind to perceive a product as being dull or great.
The face is the mental perception, the first instinct on congeniality.
This is to say, a human face was built to create an impact that captures your identity. Without it we would probably have no memory or emotions to instruct us. Everything would be so dull, no expression of love, happiness, anger, just a dormant body without mood!

It is with this concept that man began to translate body functions into usable tools and ideas that will be more efficient as the human body. For example, the computer probably derived its identity from the human brain; the fact that it stores information, processes it and gives some kind of output is typically a computer’s work. A Computer also has a visual look to it, for purposes of beauty, functionality or even distinctiveness.

It is with this same concept that a Logo is important in every product you design or service or even the company you intend to start. A face needless to say, is the emblem of the organization, the logo. The face will require a variety of skills to set it apart from the rest. Uniqueness is the key here, and without it no doors can be opened.

Imagine walking into a fashion week arena, you are obliquely greeted by a fame of colors, myriads of faces intrinsically introducing their shadowed personality. It is with these faces and visual pull that one can quickly point out, the one design that stands out. Different professional skills are needed, face color and  brush strokes. This is the preamble to the logo design process.
You will require a logo that stands out from the rest. This is done through carefully analysis to determine what best describes your business, your product and services. Get a professional designer whose portfolio identifies with yours, someone who is able to actualize your thought process into a significant face.

The face or the Logo is therefore an important element in perception, it is the eye in communication solutions that captures the audience and triggers mass attention. It displays your product/service to your clients by creating a zooming window of opportunity, an optical symbolic realism, without it no image is imprinted on their memory.
Great brands have over the years, built logos that they find so hard to relinquish; reason is the logo carries the whole body embodiment. It offers an autograph of distinctiveness. Get a professional designer to create one for you, it is not a simple blink of an eye process.
Remember it should be a crest that ought to represent you as a company or your products for a long time. It is the face of your Company.

Power of Unique Designs

Recently, I found myself trudging into an evening full of live music, trying to wave my head vertically to the band playing across the hall.
I was swayed into the room by the array of designs that sat at the entrance of the tiny concert. It was a great series of posters, well displayed. Colors splashed artistically, as if to convey a written message, perhaps the lyrics to the floating melody peering through my ears.
I could tell that the designer was a creative, an out of the box kind of person. He put a lot of thought into the strange paintings, a wave of paint cascading from corner to corner. It was a beautiful piece of art , a unique design, a stroke of genius, full of wild imagination that resonated with the distant evening music.

Passersby were automatically pulled into the realm of this hanging invitation. It was as if, it pulled you into the crowd. Everyone who took a glimpse of the entrance seemed to be astounded. I began to notice a trend, a prolonged pause...at the entrance, everyone stopping and nodding as if to re-assure it. Out of curiosity people began to stream into the hallway. The room after a few hours began to fill up!
Could a design so simple, distinct and unimaginable catch the hearts of men? The answer is Yes! A brilliant, bizarre, strange artistic display is bound to get noticed, it literally sells itself!
This is the impact of sight, beauty lies in the eyes of the design. A powerful crafted design is the focal point of all interactions. It's a unique way that companies can re-invent themselves; create a new perception to the numerous passersby.
Every customer/ client wants to be wooed over. In this generation, the customer will not always be the King. This is because, you as a Company, Business will provide the essentials; market information to your potential client in order to win their hearts. So as a designer, it is you who commands your palace, it is the Seller who is the King.
Well, the world is changing and the written notion that the Customer is always right is slowly fizzling out.
New social media has provided us with a new platform for interaction that saves on time. Information is assuming an apex direction and it points north to the word availability! Every individual is creating their own Myself.com. (If u need it, I have got it).

Sellers will be the core designers, who re-draw designs and provide information that draws all the passersby to the tiny concert dubbed Me.com
This is the future, the starting point to great designs, this is the Power of unique designs!

Last Twin

I met his twin.
Well, he was Tall, just like him. Facial resemblance, so similar and clear.
He had the rugged look, the sort of unpreparedness that characterized a man.
He was odd, his hands always parading in the air.
He held an awkwardness that set him apart from the rest.
I was studying him like an endangered specie.
Pride was ranking high in his personality triangle.
His 'soft'-spoken nature a mirage of the hardness of his heart.
The wall he built around him, the seclusion he commanded and the fangs he sharpened proclaimed his domineering nature.
He dominated and lashed back at the emptiness of any voice.
I walked away knowing he would never be like him.

If you are a Dog : A very loyal and sweet person. Your loyalty can never be doubted. You are quite honest and sincere when it comes to your attitude towards working. You are a very simple person, indeed. Absolutely hassle free, humble and down-to-earth! ! That explains the reason why your friends cling on to you! You have a good taste for clothes. If your wardrobe is not updated with what is trendy, you sure are depressed. Popular and easy-going. You have a little group of dignified friends, all of them being quality-personified.

If you are a Mouse : Always up to some sort of a mischief! The mischievous gleam in your eyes is what makes you so cute and attractive to everyone. You are an extremely fun-to-be-with kind of person. No wonder people seek for your company and look forward to include you for all get-together' s. However, you are sensitive which is a drawback. People need to select their words while talking to you. If someone tries to fiddle around and play with words while dealing with you, it is enough to invite your wrath. God bless the person then!

If you are a Lion: Quite contradictory to your name, you are a peace loving person. You best try to avoid a situation wherein you are required to fight. An outdoor person, you dislike sitting at one place for a long duration. You are a born leader, and have it in you how to tactfully derive work from people. You love being loved, and when you receive your share of limelight from someone, you are all theirs!!!! Well, well... hence some people could even take an advantage, flatter you to the maximum and get their work done. So be careful.....

If you are a Cat : An extremely lovable, adorable person, sometimes shy, with a passion for quick wit. At times, you prefer quietness. You love exploring various things and going into depth of each thing. Under normal circumstances you're cool but when given a reason to, you are like a volcano waiting to erupt. You're a fashion bird. People look forward to you as an icon associated with fashion. Basically, you mingle along freely but don't like talking much to strangers. People feel very easy in your company. You observe care in choosing your friends.
{This is me over here meow:)}

If you are a Turtle : You are near to perfect and nice at heart. The examples of your kindness are always circulated in groups of people. You, too, love peace. You wouldn't like to retaliate even to a person who is in the wrong. You are loved due to this. You do not wish to talk behind one's back. People love the way you always treat them. You can give, give and give love, and the best part is that you do not expect it back in return. You are generous enough. Seeing things in a practical light is what remains the best trait of you guys.

If you are a Dove: You symbolize a very happy-go-lucky approach in life. Whatever the surroundings may be, grim or cheerful, you remain unaffected. In fact, you spread cheer wherever you go. You are the leader of your group of friends and good at consoling people in their times of need. You dislike hypocrisy and tend to shirk away from hypocrites. They can never be in your good books, no matter what.. You are very methodical and organized in your work. No amount of mess, hence, can ever encompass you. Beware; it is easy for you to fall in love....

If you are a Panther : You are mysterious. You are someone who can handle pressure with ease, and can handle any atmosphere without going berserk. You can be mean at times, and love to gossip with your selected group. Very prim and proper. You like all situations and things to be in the way you desire, which, sometimes is not possible. As a result, you may lose out in some relationships. But otherwise, you love to help people out from difficult and tight spots when they really need you.

If you are a Monkey : Very impatient and hyper!!! You want things to be done as quick as possible. At heart, you are quite simple and love if you are the center of attraction. That way, you people are unique. You would like to keep yourself safe from all the angles. Shall your name be dragged or featured in any sort of a controversy, you then go all panicky. Therefore, you take your precautions from the very beginning. When you foresee anything wrong, your sixth sense is what saves you from falling in traps. Quite a money minded bunch you people are!!

Broken

Time has stood still, abandoned me as i drop down to my kneel.
My heart has sunk so deep...
I am in pain.
Those razor sharp words stabbed me in the back.
Now i weep..
I am back to where i started, I see the day, i see the night i see where we parted.
I hear the rudeness of their voices, and yet i smile with no choice.
They hunted, chased until i stopped, i wanted for all this to come to a winning halt.
They left me drowning in their gossip, and they filled you instead with their chatter and sour hearts.
You gave up so easy, and ran towards the start, that brought the time so still.
I've soaked in the sun, baked with time, i would have given up all the fun, all the drinks with lime ,just to have you as mine.
The truth is i will be just fine!
Go on, i will remember you still.

Escape from Blood Diamond

'This is dark, but this is survival,' he said.
He dug deep found the pearl among the swine.
But they found him, hidden amongst the thicket, glazed with dust and sprinkled water.
Stranger in their eyes, he clasped his jewel in the palm of his hands, held onto it, like mana in the desert. He saw the look in their eyes.
He knew he would be isolated, made into an alien in his own home.
He saw the Bullets of war, polished with raw blood, sparkling in the dusty roads.
Bruised bodies, emerging from the ground. The ground of riches, the earth of diamonds.
Their fingers dripping with blood but, diamonds clasped tightly in their arms.
The crystal, left them with no arms, no air, and no food.
He knew he was next to be hit hard with steel-iron, fired with greed.
He swore to them he had nothing, tears curving down his wrinkled face , bleeding, a sign of his sincerity.
He looked up to the sky, if he had one wish? He would choose life.
Life that he left behind, his wife and children. A tiny diamond inched beside his fingers.
He was the last man standing staring into the dead sea of bodies. He sung his last prayer, and awaited the sound of the metal, the Guns of death. He bowed his head and waited...
They mocked him, 'Go thee and spread the news'. It was like a song to his ears! He ran never looking back. His heart leaping, and his feet as light as the tiny metal he held in his hands. He crossed his fingers! He wasn't leaving anything to chance!
